Geodetic Control - Research and Location

Finding the location of your section corners and quarter corners can be a very difficult task. It often involves a few trips to the surveyors’ office to find all the control documentation needed for accurate parcel mapping. Once the documentation is found the hard work begins. Quite often it involves slogging through densely forested areas and wetlands in search of the illusive certified monument in the ground. Community GIS Services believes it is absolutely necessary to locate as many monuments possible when pursuing accurate parcel mapping and using public data and calculated methods as a last resort.
